A new key visual has been revealed for the upcoming I Shall Survive Using Potions! TV anime series. The series is scheduled to premiere on October 7, 2023.
Additional voice cast members were also revealed, which include Taito Ban as Roland, Ryuuichi Kijima as Fernand, Takeo Ootsuka as Allan, Masaya Wada as Fabio, and Takuya Satou as Administrator of Earth.
They join a main cast that features Rin Kusumi as Kaoru, Tomoyo Takayanagi as Francette, Moeka Koizumi as Emile, Haruki Iwata as Belle, and Natsuki Kitagawa as Layette.
Nobuaki Nakanishi (Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer, Don’t Hurt Me, My Healer!) is directing the anime series, with Takayo Ikami (Isekai Cheat Magician) as series screenwriter and Chisato Kikunaga (Don’t Hurt Me, My Healer!) as character designer. Jumondou is in charge of the animation production.
The anime is based on the light novel series written by FUNA (Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement) and illustrated by Sukima, which were first published by Kodansha under the K Ranobe Books label on June 1, 2017. Nine volumes have been released as of March 2023.
The series began as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou in 2015 and has also inspired a manga adaptation by Hibiki Kokonoe, along with several follow-ups and spinoffs. J-Novel Club releases both the light novels and main manga adaptation digitally in English.
Crunchyroll will be streaming I Shall Survive Using Potions! and describes the synopsis as:
Nagase Kaoru, a 22-year-old office lady, suddenly finds herself reincarnated in another world. To help her survive in this new world, a being that amounts to its god gives Kaoru a younger body and… the ability to make insanely overpowered potions?! The reincarnated Kaoru must use her knowledge and cheatery to survive!
