A new character illustration has been revealed for the upcoming original TV anime Our Rainy Protocol, featuring Nozomi Inatsuki (voiced by Inori Minase). The series is scheduled to premiere in October 2023.
Illustrations of the main characters Shun Tokinoya and Yuu Saegusa were released earlier this month.
Besides Minase, the anime’s voice cast includes Kenshou Ono as Shun Tokinoya, Sora Amamiya as Yuu Saegusa, Momo Asakura as Mio Tokinoya, and Ryouhei Kimura as Akito Sendo.
Daishi Katou (Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean Ep 13 director) is directing the anime, with Yasutaka Yamamoto (Aharen-san wa Hakarenai) as chief director, Kanna Hirayama (OSHI NO KO, Rent-A-Girlfriend) as character designer, and booota (Higehiro, Seven Senses of the Re`Union) as original character designer. Quad is handling the animation production for the series.
Other production staff include Katsuhiko Takayama (Dusk Maiden Of Amnesia) and Yamamoto as series screenwriter, Kotsukotsu as story draft writer, and Satoru Kousaki (Vivy -Fluorite Eye’s Song-) and MONACA (NieR:Automata Ver1.1a) as music composers.
The story follows Shun Tokinoya — a 17-year old high school student who balances school and part-time work to support his mother and sister, who is unable to walk due to an accident that took their father’s life. With the support of his friends, Shun gradually returns to the world of online games.
