After two teaser trailers, the upcoming Gundam Build Metaverse web anime has now received a full trailer ahead of its newly announced October 6 premiere. The trailer mainly serves to introduce protagonist Rio and provide various shots of mobile suits, but there’s also a brief glimpse of Rio’s Gunpla building mentor, Seria Urutsuki.
In addition to the trailer’s release, it was revealed that the anime will feature the voices of Chika Anzai as Rio and Rio Tsuchiya as Seria. Other cast members include Mikako Komatsu as Sei Iori, Kazumi Togashi as Sekai Kamiki, Yui Makino as Avatar Fumina, Yuusuke Kobayashi as Riku, Manami Numakura as Ayame, and Chiaki Kobayashi as Hiroto.
Additionally, it was announced that BACK-ON is performing the opening song “Hikari Tokaze.”
Gundam Build Metaverse will be streamed internationally on the GundamInfo YouTube channel with three episodes in total. The show is meant to commemorate the Gundam Build series’ 10th anniversary. Below’s the official plot description:
A new Internet service has been born in the world of Gunpla. Within the Metaverse realm, the user can control their own avatar, interact with other users, play Gunpla Battle, and purchase actual Gunpla. Rio Hojo is a boy who has dived into this new world. Studying Gunpla building techniques in the real world with Seria Urutuski, and absorbing Gunpla Battle know-how from Mask Lady in the Metaverse world, he has been honing his skills day by day. After completing his own original Gunpla, the Lah Gundam, Rio happens to encounter some past champions of Gunpla Battle in the Metaverse realm.
Masami Obari (Gundam Build Fighters Battlogue, Super Robot Taisen OG: The Inspector, Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture) is directing Gundam Build Metaverse at Sunrise Beyond with Noboru Kimura (AMAIM Warrior at the borderline) as series composer. Other staff include:
