The production team for the Firefighter Daigo: Rescuer in Orange TV anime series announced that it has added two main characters from Firefighter! Daigo of Fire Company M to its additional cast. The anime is scheduled to premiere on September 30, 2023.
Voice actors Katsuyuki Konishi and Takehito Koyasu are playing Daigo Asahina and Shiro Amakasu, respectively. Both were the main characters in the original Firefighter! Daigo of Fire Company M manga series.

Original manga creator Masahito Soda also posted an illustration of both characters ahead of the series’ premiere in two weeks.

Konishi and Koyasu join a voice cast that includes Junya Enoki as Daigo Toake, Taku Yashiro as Shun Onoda, Ayane Sakura as Yuki Nakamura, Yuuichi Nakamura as Sadaie Matoi, Tetsu Inada as Kyousuke Yamagami, Youhei Azakami as Hasebe, and Ryouta Iwasaki as Watari.
Meanwhile, the ending for Firefighter Daigo: Rescuer in Orange is “Perfect World” by LMYK, while the opening theme is “Anthropos” by Kanjani 8.
The production staff includes Masahiko Murata (To Your Eternity Season 1) as director, Shinzou Fujita (To Your Eternity) as series screenwriter, and Hitomi Tsuruta (Futsal Boys!!!!! sub-character designer) and Kouji Yabuno (To Your Eternity) as character designers. Brain’s Base is handling the animation production for the series.
The anime is based on the manga written by Masahito Soda and illustrated by Kuro Tomiyama, which was first serialized in Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Magazine on October 6, 2020. Seven tankoubon volumes have been released as of May 2023, with an eighth volume set for release on October 17, 2023.
Firefighter Daigo: Rescuer in Orange serves as a spin-off sequel to Soda’s original Firefighter! Daigo of Fire Company M manga series, which was serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shounen Sunday from September 6, 1995 to June 16, 1999. Twenty tankoubon volumes were released in total.

The original manga also inspired a 1999 anime film from Sunrise and an 11-episode live-action television drama series that ran on Fuji TV from January 6, 2004 to March 16, 2004.
Crunchyroll will stream the new anime series and describes the synopsis as:
