A 2024 premiere window has been announced for the Henjin no Salad Bowl anime adaptation. A teaser visual featuring main characters Sosuke Kaburaya and Sara was also released.
The anime is based on the Shogakukan-published light novel series written by Yomi Hirasaka and illustrated by Kantoku. The story’s premise revolves an encounter between impoverished detective Sosuke Kaburaya and Sara, a magic-wielding princess who hails from another world. As Sara quickly acclimates to modern-day Japan, Livia, a knight from Sara’s original world, becomes homeless in ours but finds unexpected enjoyment in her days. Sara and Livia’s positive attitudes end up having an effect on not just Sosuke, but other oddballs like a fiendish lawyer, a relationship destroyer, and a religious leader.
Henjin no Salad Bowl began publication under the Gagaga Bunko label in October 2021 and has five volumes as of July 2023. It has also inspired a manga adaptation by Koutarou Yamada.
