Given: Hiiragi Mix, the first part of the two-part Given anime movie sequel, will begin screening in Japan on January 27. In addition to that info, a key visual of SYH’s Hiragi Kashima and Shizusumi Yagi was also released.
Additionally, Given mangaka Natsuki Kizu drew a commemorative illustration for SYH’s debut that includes the band’s supporting guitarist Ritsuka Uenoyama.
The Shinshokan-published Given manga began serialization in Chéri+ in 2013 and has nine tankoubon volumes as of September 2023. An 11-episode anime series begin airing in 2019 and was followed by a one-hour movie in 2020.
SuBLime describes the manga as:
Ritsuka Uenoyama is bored with it all—with school, with his basketball club, and even with his one true passion: playing guitar. That is, until the day he finds his favorite hidden napping spot occupied by a strange boy cradling a broken-stringed guitar. At first, Uenoyama is nonplussed by Mafuyu Sato and his slightly odd behavior, but when, on a whim, he asks Mafuyu to sing, the power of that song pierces him to the core.
