The second Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 compilation film, subtitled the Last Human (or Saigo no Ningen in Japan) has received a new key visual and trailer. The film is a theatrical edit of Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045’s second season, which will screen in Japan on November 23, 2023.
The trailer showcases the anime film’s main characters engaging in various action-packed skirmishes. It also highlights the main ending theme “No Time to Cast Anchor,” by millennium parade, who also perform the opening theme “Secret Ceremony.”
The first season of Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 was released on Netflix in 2020, while the second season debuted in 2022. The first compilation movie, Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 Sustainable War, was released in 2021.
The new anime series is a follow-up to the Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex series, which originally ended in 2006 with the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex – Solid State Society film.
The anime is directed by Kenji Kamiyama and Shinji Aramaki, with Nobuko Toda and Kazuma Jinnouchi as music composers. Production I.G and SOLA DIGITAL ARTS handled the animation production.
