The anime adaptation of the Shaman King sequel Shaman King: Flowers has received a key visual. The show is set to premiere in January 2024.
Shaman King: Flowers is based on the manga of the same name by Hiroyuki Takei, which ran from 2012 to 2014 in Shueisha’s Jump X before being followed up by the ongoing Shaman King: The Super Star. Kodansha describes the plot as:
The action returns in this brand-new sequel to SHAMAN KING! Hana Asakura finds that being the son of Yoh & Anna Asakura isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, and his boredom has him itching for any kind of excitement. But when a fight comes straight to his doorstep, it’s from a place he least expects—his own family? The battle for Asakura supremacy begins!
The original Shaman King manga ran from 1998 to 2004 with 32 tankoubon volumes. It was originally published by Shueisha before being republished by Kodansha in 2018. It later inspired the 2011 Shaman King: Zero manga, Shaman King: Flowers, and Shaman King: The Super Star.
The Shaman King: Flowers anime is a sequel to the 2021 Shaman King adaptation. A previous anime adaptation aired from 2001 to 2002.
