The Mysterious Disappearances TV anime has received its first trailer, along with a key visual, additional cast details, staff, and an April 2024 premiere.
Tomomi Mochizuki (Battery director and scriptwriter) is directing Mysterious Disappearances at ZERO-G in addition to being the series composer. Takuya Tani (Muv-Luv: Alternative) is the character designer while Kayou Konishi (Pupa) and Yukio Kondou (Pupa) are the music composers.
The newly announced cast members are Eri Yukimura as Oto Adashina and Yui Horie as Manami Uname.
Mysterious Disappearances is based on the manga by Nujima, which began serialization in 2019 and has six tankoubon volumes as of July 2023. The story follows Sumireko, an aspiring novelist, and the mysterious, young-looking Ren as they solve various supernatural mysteries in a town.
The manga is serialized in Shogakukan’s Yawaraka Spirits and published under the Big Comics label. Fairouz Ai and Daiki Yamashita were previously announced as the voices of lead characters Suremiko Okawa and Ren Adashino, respectively.
