Voice actresses Anna Nagase and Honoka Inoue are joining the voice cast for the upcoming Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess TV anime series. The anime is set to premiere sometime in January 2024.
Nagase is voicing the character Youki, while Inoue will voice Inki. Both are oni sisters who serve as “intermediate-level torturers” for the kingdom. They join a voice cast that so far includes:
- • Haruka Shiraishi as Princess
- • Chikahiro Kobayashi as the sword Ex
- • Shizuka Itou as Torture Tortura
- • Tesshou Genda as the Hell-lord
The production staff for the anime adaptation consists of Youko Kanamori (Great Pretender Episodes 14 and 21 director and storyboarder) as director, Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun) as series screenwriter, Toshiya Kouno (Schwarzesmarken sub-character designer) and Satoshi Furuhashi as character designers, and Masaru Yokoyama (Horimiya) as music composer. PINE JAM is handling the animation production for the series.
Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess is based on the gag manga written by Robinson Haruhara and illustrated by Hirakei, which was first serialized in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ online magazine on April 4, 2019. Twelve tankoubon volumes have been released as of July 2023.
The story follows a princess held captive by the Hellhorde, who subject her to merciless torture in the form of delicious Japanese food and snacks.
