Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac — Battle for Sanctuary Part 2, the next season of the Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac 3DCG anime series, has received a teaser trailer and promotional visual. A 2024 international streaming release date was also revealed.

The existence of a new Knights of the Zodiac season was previously announced by Crunchyroll at 2022 Comic Con Experience. The first season was released in two parts on Netflix, one in 2019 and the other in 2020, while the second season premiered on Crunchyroll in 2022. Both seasons had 12 episodes.

Crunchyroll will stream the show in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS. It describes the plot as:

Time is running out! Only five hours remain before the god-killer arrow lodged in Athena’s chest will kill the goddess. The powerful Grand Master is the only one who can save her life, but to even reach the Grand Master’s chambers, Seiya and his fellow Bronze Knights must ascend Sanctuary and pass through all Twelve Houses, each temple guarded by a Gold Knight. Not everyone will complete the journey and reach the summit of Sanctuary where a shocking surprise awaits.

Knights of the Zodiac is the most recent anime to be inspired by Masami Kurumada‘s Shueisha-published Saint Seiya manga, which began serialization in 1986. Previous anime include an 80s TV series, multiple movies (including a 2014 CG film), and an OVA series. A live-action Hollywood adaptation, simply titled Knights of the Zodiac, was released this year.
