A January 13 Japanese premiere date has been announced for the MAPPA-produced original anime Bucchigiri?!. There’s also a main trailer, key visual, cast details, and opening song information.

Starring in the anime, which mixes high school delinquent action with a bit of the supernatural via a genie-like character, are:

Genki Ookawa as Arajin Tomoshibi
Masafumi Kobatake as Senya
Anna Nagase as Mahoro
Yuusuke Hoshino as Matakara Asamine
Nozomu Sasaki as Marito
Jirou Saitou as Kenichiro
Yukihiro Nozuyama as Zabu
Kappei Yamaguchi as Komau
Ryouta Takeuchi as Ota
Makoto Furukawa as Jabashiri
Shouta Hayama as Hagure
Chihiro Suzuki as Akutaro

Performing the opening song, titled “Sesame,” is Kroi. The song begins playing around halfway through the trailer.

Additionally, it was announced that the first three episodes will receive an advance screening on December 23 at TOHO Cinemas locations in Roppongi Hills, Ikebukuro, Umeda, Akaike, Tenjin, and Susukino.

 Bucchigiri?! was announced in May of this year. The anime is directed by Hiroko Utsumi (SK8 the InfinityBanana FishFree!) with Taku Kishimoto (Ranking of Kings) as series composer and scriptwriter and Takahiro Kagami (SK8 the Infinity action animation director) as character designer and co-chief animation director. The premise involves protagonist Arajin getting caught in a battle between powerful combatants after a reunion with his former best friend.
