A new key visual and PV trailer have been revealed for The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic TV anime series. The anime is scheduled to premiere on January 5, 2024.
The latest trailer also previews the anime’s opening theme “Cure” by Japanese band waterweed and the ending theme “”Green jade” by ChouCho.
Takahide Ogata (Motto! Majime ni Fumajime Kaiketsu Zorori) is directing the anime, with Shougo Yasukawa (Otaku Elf) as series screenwriter, Kenji Tanabe (Blue Lock co-character designer) as character designer, and Hitoshi Fujima and Seima Kondou as music composers. Studio Add and Shin-Ei Animation are handling the animation production for the series.
Meanwhile, the main voice cast includes:

- • Ayaka Nanase as Suzune
- • Kengo Takanashi as Kazuki
- • Saya Aizawa as Amako
- • Atsuko Tanaka as Rose
The anime is based on the original light novels written by Kurokata and illustrated by KeG, which are published under Kadokawa’s MF Books label. The series ran from March 25, 2016 to March 25, 2020 for a total of 12 volumes. The story was originally written as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou in March 2014.
One Peace Books, which publishes both the light novels and Reki Kugayama‘s 2017 manga adaptation in English, describes the general synopsis as:
Usato, an ordinary high schooler, happens to run into two fellow students after school one rainy day. Suddenly, all three of them are engulfed in a magic circle and transported to a fantasy world. There’s just one tiny problem―Usato is simply dragged along by accident! On top of that, Usato learns that he is capable of using healing magic―an incredibly rare affinity in this new world. Now Usato must spend his days with the rescue team thugs, struggling through their hellish training regimen―learning the wrong way to use healing magic. Get ready for an eccentric otherworld fantasy filled with comedy and combat!
