The previously announced anime adaptation of The Dangers in My Heart‘s Twi-Yaba spin-off will become available on December 10 in Japan, with an international release date to be announced in the future. The show will be a single 21-minute episode (comprising multiple shorts).

A preview of Twi-Yaba was screened at the TV Anime “The Dangers in My Heart” FAN FESTA 2023 ~karte12.5 Bokura wa Shibuya ni Atsumatta~ event, also held on December 10 JST.

The Twi-Yaba manga comprises a series of shorts that have been collected into two Kindle volumes. They were originally posted on X (formerly Twitter) by manga artist Norio Sakurai

The Dangers in My Heart romantic comedy manga began in 2018 and has nine tankoubon volumes as of November 2023. The Akita Shoten-published title ranked first in AnimeJapan’s fourth Manga We Want to See Animated ranking. Seven Seas Entertainment describes the premise as:

Kyotaro Ichikawa, a boy barely clinging to the bottom rung of his school’s social ladder, secretly believes he’s the tortured lead in some psychological thriller. But Kyotaro’s not nearly the troubled teen he pretends to be…and it turns out Anna’s a bit odd herself!

The first season of The Dangers in My Heart anime adaptation ran from April to June of this year. A second season will premiere in January 2024.
