A key visual for the Haikyu!!: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump anime movie has been released. It was also announced that IMAX screenings for the movie in Japan will begin on the same date as the general theater release: February 16.
Haikyu!! the Movie: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump will feature the Spring Nationals match between the Karasuno and Nekoma schools, following the match with Inarizaki High from 2020’s Haikyu!! To The Top. It was announced in 2022 that there would be a two-part Haikyu!! Final movie. The anime’s first season began airing in 2014.
Haikyu!! is inspired by the Shueisha-published manga by Haruichi Furudate, which ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2012 to 2020 and is collected into 45 tankoubon volumes. Viz Media describes the manga as:
After losing his first and last volleyball match against Tobio Kageyama, “the King of the Court,” Shoyo Hinata swears to become his rival after graduating middle school. But what happens when the guy he wants to defeat ends up being his teammate?!
