The upcoming Kinnikuman Perfect Origin Arc anime has received a new teaser trailer and a new visual.
It was also revealed that Mamoru Miyano is voicing the titular character for the new Kinnikuman anime. The other main cast member is Akira Kamiya, the original Kinnikuman, as both Kinniku Mayumi (Kinnikuman’s father) and Prince Kamehame (Kinnikuman’s master).
Kinnikuman Perfect Origin Arc, which is set to premiere in 2024, is meant to commemorate the original Kinnikuman anime’s 40th anniversary. Aside from that 137-episode 1983 TV series, there have also been a 1984 special episode and the 1991 Kinnikuman: Kinnikusei Oui Soudatsu-hen series, which has 46 episodes.
Kinnikuman was originally a manga created by the duo Yudetamago. It debuted in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in 1979 and originally ended in 1987. The manga returned in 2011 and is currently serialized on Shupure NEWS. The series released its 83rd tankoubon volume, under the Jump Comics label, in September 2023.
