Norihiko Nagahama (I’ve Somehow Gotten Stronger When I Improved My Farm-Related Skills) is directing the series at studio A-CAT with Touko Machida (I’ve Somehow Gotten Stronger When I Improved My Farm-Related Skills) as series composer, Masami Sueoka (I’ve Somehow Gotten Stronger When I Improved My Farm-Related Skills) as character designer, and KOHTA YAMAMOTO (Chained Soldier, Attack on Titan Final Season co-composer) as music composer.

The Strongest Magician in the Demon Lord’s Army was a Human follows Ike, the leader of the Demon King Army’s mighty Seventh Corps who is secretly a reincarnated human instead of a demon. The light novels’ first volume was released in September 2016, and there are five volumes as of 2018.
Ryousuke Hata wrote the books, which are published under Futabasha’s Monster Bunko label, while KUMA provided the illustrations. The story was first released as a Shousetsuka ni Narou web novel beginning in 2016. The light novels have inspired a manga by Anajiro.
