Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2’s second cour will begin airing on April 7. In addition to that announcement, a promotional video, in which Rudeus can be heard stating his intention to marry Sylphiette, was released.
There’s also a key visual of the couple and Rudeus’ sisters:
The trailer’s video description reveals that Ryousuke Shibuya (The Reincarnation of the Strongest Exorcist in Another World) is directing the new cour, marking the second directorial change for the Mushoku Tensei anime (Season 1 was directed by Onimai‘s Shingo Fujii, Season 2 Cour 1 by Season 1 assistant director Hiroki Hirano). The returning staff include series composer Toshiya Oono, character designers Sanae Shimada and Yoshiko Saitou (Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible), art director Masakazu Miyake, and music composer Yoshiaki Fujisawa.
The first cour of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 premiered on July 2 (effectively July 3 at 12 AM JST) in Japan. Crunchyroll, Muse Asia, and Bilibili streamed the show overseas. The Studio Bind-produced anime is based on the MF Books isekai light novel series written by Rifujin na Magonote and illustrated by Shirotaka, which began in 2014 and ended in November 2022 with 26 volumes. Seven Seas describes the books as:
Kicked out by his family and wandering the streets, an unemployed 34-year-old shut-in thinks he’s hit rock-bottom—just as he’s hit and killed by a speeding truck! Awakening to find himself reborn as an infant in a world of swords and sorcery, but with the memories of his first life intact, Rudeus Greyrat is determined not to repeat his past mistakes. He’s going to make the most of this reincarnation as he sets off on the adventure of a second lifetime!
Mushoku Tensei started in 2012 as a Shousetsuka ni Narou web novel. The light novels have inspired a manga adaptation and multiple spin-offs. The light novel version of the Dasoku-hen spin-off released its first volume in June 2023.
