An anime adaptation of the Viral Hit webtoon is coming this April. Crunchyroll will stream the show (titled Kenka Dokugaku in Japanese) during the Spring 2024 season in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS.
Masakazu Hishida (My Instant Death Ability is Overpowered, Fairy Ranmaru) is directing the show at Okuruto Noboru. The other revealed staff are Toshiya Ono (Blue Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati Saga) as series composer, Satomi Miyazaki (Tomodachi Game) as character designer, and Yutaka Yamada (Vinland Saga) as music composer.
The Viral Hit webtoon, which is written by Lookism creator Taejun Pak and drawn by Kim Junghyun, started in 2019. Webtoon publishes its episodes (chapters) in English and offers the following synopsis:
Scrawny high school student Hobin Yu is probably the last guy you’d expect to star in a NewTube channel that revolves around fighting. But after following some advice from a mysterious NewTube channel, Hobin is soon knocking out guys stronger than him and raking in more money than he could have ever dreamed of. Can Hobin keep this up, or will he eventually meet his match?
