The women’s cycling-themed Rinkai! anime will premiere on April 9. A trailer and visual were also released.
Additionally, it was announced that Rico Sasaki is singing the opening song “Windshifter.” The ending song “Override!” will be sung by six of the cast members: Umino Kawamura (Izumi Itou), Azusa Aoi (Nana Hiratsuka), Rena Hasegawa (Miko Yahiko), Saika Kitamori (Sachi Nagoya), Riho Sugiyama (Kinusa Takamatsu), Minami Hinata (Ai Kumamoto), and Riko Sasaki (Tsutsuji Kurume).
Rinkai! will follow several cyclers who are participants of the RINKAI LEAGUE, the first revival of women’s cycling, which previously lasted 15 years, in decades. It is part of a mixed-media project that includes a manga, Rinkai! Azalea, by Kurume Tsutsuji.
