The manga adaptation of psychological horror RPG OMORI will start its serialization in Kodansha’s Monthly Afternoon this spring, the game’s developer OMOCAT revealed. A trailer provides an early look at Nui Konoito‘s art style for the manga.

The news arrived after the end of the game’s third anniversary concert, which was streamed online.

The manga adaptation was announced last November, with the OMORI X (formerly Twitter) account saying that it will be suitable for both existing fans of the game and newcomers. The game’s official description is:

Explore a strange world full of colorful friends and foes. Navigate through the vibrant and the mundane in order to uncover a forgotten past. When the time comes, the path you’ve chosen will determine your fate… and perhaps the fate of others as well.

OMORI first launched on Steam in December 2020, and has since received a Japanese localization and ports to Nintendo Switch and PS4. The RPGMaker game was also available for Xbox One and Xbox X/S as part of the Game Pass subscription service, but was removed in June 2023. It has enjoyed a positive reception from both critics and players.
