A new key visual has been revealed for the upcoming The Banished Former Hero Lives as He Pleases anime series. The anime is scheduled to premiere on April 1, 2024.
Kazuomi Koga (Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible, Rent-A-Girlfriend Season 1 and 2) is directing the anime, with Rintarou Ikeda (Insomniacs After School) as screenwriter, Yoshiki Ookusa (The Vampire Dies In No Time) as scriptwriter, and Saori Hosoda (Phantom of the Idol) as character designer. Studio Deen and Marvy Jack are in charge of the animation production for the series.
Meanwhile, the anime’s voice cast includes:

The original light novel series is written by Shin Kouzuki and illustrated by Chocoan, which was first published under the TO Books Ranobe label on October 10, 2018. Six volumes have been released as of November 2023. The series first began as a Shousetsuka ni Narou web novel that ran from January 26, 2018 to June 10, 2019.
The Banished Former Hero Lives as He Pleases also inspired a manga adaptation by Karasumaru on December 24, 2018 in Comic Corona. Eight tankoubon volumes have been released as of November 2023.
J-Novel Club releases the light novel and manga series in English digitally and describes the synopsis as:
