A new character visual and short commercial have been revealed for the Mayonaka Punch TV anime, spotlighting the character Live (voiced by Fairouz Ai). The original anime series is scheduled to premiere in Japan on July 2024.
The 15-second commercial features the manic, energetic personality of Live and her respective voice actor.
Fairouz joins Ikumi Hasegawa as Masaki, whose own character visual and commercial was released earlier this week.
Osamu Honma (Ya Boy Kongming!) is directing Mayonaka Punch, with Harapeko Penguin Troupe’s Shirasaka Hideaki (Ya Boy Kongming! co-scriptwriter) as series screenwriter, Ryouta Arima (Hell’s Paradise co-chief animation director) as character designer, and Tsukasa Kotobuki (NG Kishi Ramune & 40 DX: Wakuwaku Jikuu – Honoo no Daisousasen character designer, Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan’s Island co-character designer) as original character designer. P.A. Works is handling the series’ animation production.
Mayonaka Punch is an anime described as a “girls comedy” about “NewTubers,” who upload videos to the “NewTube” site.
