Guel Jeturk Wins Boy of the Year & Supporting Boy of the Year at 10th Anime Trending Awards

Guel Jeturk, from the mecha anime series Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury, has won Boy of the Year and Supporting Boy of the Year at the 10th Anime Trending Awards. 

Guel is the first male character to win in both categories, having also won Best Male Character and Best Supporting Male Character at the Spring 2023 Anime Awards. He joined Fate/Apocrypha’s Alstolfo who won both awards back in Summer 2017. 

During the Spring 2023 anime season, Guel began with a streak of three consecutive first place finishes on the weekly Male Character polls from the third to the fifth week. He did not appear on the charts in the sixth week, but would later reappear in eighth place by week seven and move up to sixth place by week eight. He finished the last three weeks of voting in third place. 

On the women’s side, OSHI NO KO’S Kana Arima also won Girl of the Year and Supporting Girl of the Year at the 10th Anime Trending Awards, joining Rem from Re:Zero as the only characters to accomplish this feat at the annual awards.
