The Shoshimin: How to become Ordinary anime adaptation has received its first full trailer, previewing more of the mystery show’s normalcy-yearning protagonists and visual presentation.
The anime is set to premiere in July.
Shoshimin is based on the Shoshimin Series mystery novels Hyouka’s Honobu Yonezawa. The main characters are Jogoro Kobato, a boy with great deduction skills, and Yuki Osanai, a girl with sharp perception and strong initiative. Due to past experiences, the two aspire to live a plain life. Unfortunately, their high school seems to be a hotbed for mysterious cases and misfortune.
The Shoshimin Series, published under Tokyo Sogensha Sougen’s Suiri Bunko label, had four main volumes released between 2004 to 2009. A short story compilation was released in 2020. The first two books have inspired manga adaptations.
