The newest main PV trailer for the third season of The Duke of Death and His Maid has been released, highlighting the ensuing conflict with the series’ main antagonist Sade. Season three is scheduled to premiere in Japan on April 7, 2024.
The trailer has English subtitles enabled on its CC button and previews the third season’s ending theme “Étoile Mémoire” by voice actress Ayumi Mano. Crunchyroll is currently streaming all previous seasons.
Many staff members from the second season and first season are returning to work on the third season. Yoshinobu Yamakawa is serving as director, with Hideki Shirane as series screenwriter, SMDE’s Mitsuru Kuwabata as character designer, SMDE’s Yuuya Hatano as character modeling director, and Gen Okuda and Takeshi Watanabe as music composers. J.C.Staff is in charge of the animation production, with SMDE assisting as the CGI company.

The anime is based on the romantic comedy manga series by Koharu Inoue, which was serialized on Shogakukan’s Sunday Webry website from October 3, 2017 to May 17, 2022. Sixteen total tankobon volumes were released during its publication.
Seven Seas Entertainment is releasing The Duke of Death And His Maid manga in English, describing the synopsis as:
When the duke was a young boy, a witch cast a powerful curse upon him, making it so that any living thing he touched would die. Now a young man, he lives in a sprawling mansion with only servants for his companions: an elderly butler, and his childhood friend, a busty blonde maid named Alice. Despite the curse, Alice is constantly flirting with him and seems to delight in making him blush! But how close can they truly grow as long as the curse is in place?
