Seven new voice actors are joining the Rising Impact golf original net anime series, which was announced during Netflix’s weekend stage event at AnimeJapan 2024. The anime will premiere in two parts, with the first season set to stream on June 22, 2024 and the second season on August 6, 2024.
The new cast members (as featured from top left to bottom right above) include:

Hitoshi Nanba (Golden Kamuy, Tomo–chan Is a Girl!) is directing the anime, with Michihiro Tsuchiya (Major series screenwriter) as screenwriter and scriptwriter, Studio DURIAN′s Kiyotaka Oshiyama (Flip Flappers director, Chainsaw Man devil designer) as character designer, and Masaru Yokoyama (Horimiya) as music composer. Lay-duce is in charge of the animation production.
The anime is based on the golf manga series by The Seven Deadly Sins creator Nakaba Suzuki. It ran in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine November 24, 1998 to February 19, 2002 and released a total of 17 tankobon volumes. The series was originally supposed to end in 1999, but reader response led to its return around three months later. New editions of the manga will be on sale beginning May 2, 2024.
Netflix describes the synopsis of Rising Impact as:
In Rising Impact, Gawain Nanaumi is a third-grader with an incredible love for baseball and making the ball really fly. In a chance encounter with a female professional golfer, Kiria Nishino, he learns that golf will allow him to hit a ball further than any other sport.
Using his physical strength and keen observational skills gained from living in a rural mountain area, he manages to hit the ball to such an impressive distance that it rivals even that of professionals. With Kiria’s help, the new golf enthusiast enrolls at Camelot Academy, a prestigious school for both skilled and aspiring golfers from around the world. Gawain wants to be the best professional golfer in the world but there are other golf prodigies with extraordinary skills that stand in his way and he has to face various trials to overcome them.
