A second season of the cooking fantasy anime series ‘Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess has been announced to be in production. Further details about the second season will be revealed at a later date. The first season first aired in Japan on January 9, 2024 and will end on March 26, 2024.
A new key visual of the titular Princess and a 30-second announcement trailer were released, confirming the second season’s production status.
Yoko Kanamori (Great Pretender Episodes 14 and 21 director and storyboarder) directed the anime’s first season, with Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun) as series screenwriter, Toshiya Kono (Schwarzesmarken sub-character designer) and Satoshi Furuhashi as character designers, and Masaru Yokoyama (Horimiya) as music composer. PINE JAM is in charge of the animation production for the anime.

Meanwhile, the anime’s main cast includes:

‘Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess is an adaptation of the gag manga of the same name written by Robinson Haruhara and illustrated by Hirakei, which first ran in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ online magazine on April 4, 2019. Fourteen tankobon volumes have been released as of March 2024, with a 15th volume due out on May 2024.

Crunchyroll is streaming the anime series and describes the synopsis as:
As the war between the Imperial Army and Hellhorde rages on, the Princess, despite being armed with her mythical sword Excalibur, is captured and imprisoned. What kind of torture does she face at the hands of the chief demon interrogator? Fluffy fresh-baked toast! Hot, steaming ramen! Oh, the humanity! Can the Princess withstand these tormenting treats and keep her kingdom’s secrets safe?
