My Hero Academia The Movie: You’re Next Reveals New Trailer, Kenta Miyake as Dark Might featured image

A fresh teaser trailer for My Hero Academia The Movie: You’re Next, which debuts in Japan on August 2, has been released.

It was also revealed that Kenta Miyake (who voices All Might) is voicing the All Might-resembling main villain of the film, who goes by the moniker Dark Might.

My Hero Academia The Movie: You’re Next is the fourth anime movie in the My Hero Academia franchise. The previous films were 2018’s Two Heroes, 2019’s Heroes Rising, and 2021’s World Heroes’ Mission.  

The My Hero Academia TV anime premiered in 2016 and will kick off its seventh season May 4 this year. The anime is inspired by the Shueisha-published manga by Kouhei Horikoshi began serialization in 2014 and has 39 tankoubon volumes as of November 2023. 

Viz Media describes the manga as:

Middle school student Izuku Midoriya wants to be a hero more than anything, but he hasn’t got an ounce of power in him. With no chance of ever getting into the prestigious U.A. High School for budding heroes, his life is looking more and more like a dead end. Then an encounter with All Might, the greatest hero of them all, gives him a chance to change his destiny…
