hololive production‘s English X (formerly) Twitter account has announced an upcoming collaboration between the VTuber agency and the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team called hololive night.
hololive night is set to happen on July 5 at 7:10 PM PT. In the meantime, there will be an information stream on May 31, 8 PM PDT with Usada Pekora and Gawr Gura. The collaboration’s promotional illustration features both of these VTubers as well as Hoshimachi Suisei.
This isn’t the first team-up between a VTuber agency and a western sports team/association. Almost a week ago, it was announced that there would be a collaboration between the NBA and Nijisanji En/Nijisanji involving exclusive merchandise. However, with hololive’s Japanese X account hyping up the scale of the Dodgers collab in its retweet, it’s likely that hololive night will involve more than just collaboration product sales.
