OSHI NO KO fans can now get a new look at the live-action OSHI NO KO drama and movie adaptation, thanks to a newly released teaser trailer and visual.

The trailer has colorful idol performance snippets (showcasing both the old and new B Komachis) and appearances from the major cast members. Meanwhile the visual mimics the layout of a social media platform and displays various stills through this format.

There are also premiere dates: November 28 JST for the drama, which will stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video, and December 20 JST for the movie. Comic Natalie reports that the OSHI NO KO movie will pick up after the eight-episode drama series’ events.

The live-action OSHI NO KO adaptations were announced in January. The cast includes Kaito Sakurai as Aqua, Asuka Saitou as Ai, Nagisa Saitou as Ruby, Nanoka Hara (who voiced the titular heroine of Makoto Shinkai’s Suzume) as Kana Arima, Mizuki Kayashima as Akane Kurokawa, and ano as MEMcho.

The original OSHI NO KO manga, written by Aka Akasaka and drawn by Mengo Yokoyari, started its serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump in 2020 and has 14 tankoubon volumes as of April 2024. A DOGA KOBO-produced anime series premiered in 2023 and has an upcoming second season that kicks off on July 3 JST.

Yen Press describes the manga as:

Gorou is a gynecologist and idol fan who’s in shock after his favorite star, Ai, announces an impromptu hiatus. Little does Gorou realize that he’s about to forge a bond with her that defies all common sense! Lies are an idol’s greatest weapon in this outrageous manga from Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) and Mengo Yokoyari (Scum’s Wish).
