One of the titles announced at the recent Nintendo Direct 2024 showcase was Farmagia, a multiplatform fantasy action game featuring character and monster designs from Fairy Tail and Edens Zero mangaka Hiro Mashima and monster-farming gameplay. A newly released trailer delves further into its setting, a land called Felicidad that is now under the regime of the evil Glaza, and also includes these two reveals: ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION‘s “Life is Beautiful” is the theme song of the game, and there’s a Farmagia anime in the works.

The trailer says that the anime is in the planning stage, so don’t expect it to match the game’s November 1, 2024 release date.

Regarding the game, Farmagia will follow protagonist Ten (Kohei Amasaki) and his friends as they grow plant-derived monsters and lead them against Glaza and the Oración Seis. You can also expect to gather resources, improve your monsters, and make friends with Elemental Spirits to get new “ultimate monsters and transformations.”

Farmagia will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Steam. Marvelous Inc. is the developer. The game will have a Switch-exclusive Collector’s Edition and a Digital Deluxe Edition in addition to the standard physical and digital editions.
