Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture Act 2 has received a character trailer for Haruka Rutaka, the skilled purple-haired Knightmare Frame pilot of the Shichikou Seidan resistance forces. Miyu Tomita voices the character.
Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture Act 2 started screening in Japanese theaters on June 7. Act 1 premiered on May 10, and the next two acts will be released on July 5 and August 2, respectively. Disney+ started screening the new Code Geass anime on June 21 in a 12-episode format.
Rozé of the Recapture starts in the seventh year of the Kouwa era and follows the mercenary brothers Rozé and Ash, the latter an excellent Knightmare pilot and the former an intellectual who uses his smarts for negotiations, information gathering, and strategy. The two join forces with a Japanese resistance force to battle against Neo Britannica and free Sakuya Sumeragi, the captive daughter of Hokkaido’s murdered leader.
The first Code Geass anime, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, ran from 2006 to 2008 with two seasons. Other anime entries in the franchise include OVAs, a recap film series with continuity differences, a sequel to the recaps titled Code Geass Lelouch of the Re;surrection, and the Code Geass: Akito the Exiled spin-off series. There are also Code Geass light novels, manga, and video games.
Rozé of the Recapture was originally subtitled Z of the Recapture. Comic Natalie reported that it was altered in light of world affairs (the “Z” symbol was used by Russia during its invasion of Ukraine).
