Horror mangaka Junji Ito and Hello Kitty creator Sanrio seem like they belong to two different worlds that can never meet, but both are set to come together later this year for the Junji Ito x Sanrio Characters Pop Up Store in PARCO collaboration.
There will be two pop up stores, one at Tokyo’s Shibuya Parco from August 23 to September 9 JST and the other at Osaka’s Shinsaibashi PARCO from September 27 to October 14 JST. There are three themes: Gal Tomie, Fuyuu suru Yotsutsuji no Bishounen (featuring the beautiful boy at the crossroads being suspended by balloons in the shape of Sanrio characters), and Manekko. The goods include a Gal Tomie acrylic stand, a Fuyuu suru Yotsutsuji no Bishounen tote bag, and Manekko keychains.
