Four new voice cast members are joining the side cast of the upcoming Honey Lemon Soda TV anime series. The anime will begin broadcasting in Japan in January 2025.
The new cast members include:
- • Rie Takahashi as Serina Kanno
- • Miyari Nemoto as Ayumi Endo
- • Shunichi Toki as Tomoya Takamine
- • Taku Yashiro as Satoru Seto
They join main cast members Kana Ichinose as the heroine Uka Ishimori and Shogo Yano as Kai Miura.
Hiroshi Nishikiori (Argonavis from Bang Dream!, A Certain Magical Index) is serving as director for the anime, with Akiko Waba (Blue Reflection Ray) as series screenwriter, Aimi Tanaka (Sugar Apple Fairytale Episode 2, 3, 4, and 6 character designer et al.) as character designer, and Akira Kosemura (Blue Orchestra co-composer) as music composer. J.C.STAFF is in charge of the animation production.
The anime series is based on the shojo romance manga by Mayu Murata, which began serialization in Shueisha’s RIBON magazine on December 28, 2015 and has released 26 tankobon volumes as of August 2024. Yen Press releases the manga in English for North America.
Crunchyroll will stream Honey Lemon Soda worldwide, describing the main synopsis as:
In middle school, Uka Ishimori was nicknamed “Stone.”
In order to change herself, she enrolled in Hachimitsu High School, known for its culture of student liberty. Seated in at the desk next to her in the same class is Kai Miura, a coolly freewheeling boy with lemon-colored hair. In truth, Uka met Kai once in middle school, and decided to attend Hachimitsu based on a single word he said to her.To Uka, the popular Kai is a distant presence.
Yet somehow, Kai starts to look after Uka. With Kai encouraging her, Uka gradually begins to fit in with her classmates…
