Two new voice cast members are joining the ongoing second season of Tower of God, which will begin airing its “Workshop Battle” story arc on October 6, 2024. The second season first premiered in Japan on July 7, 2024.
The new cast members joining the series include Kenjiro Abekawa as Beniamino Cassano (left) and Konomi Inagaki as Xiaxia (right). Both characters will appear in the second season’s 10th episode, which aired on September 8, 2024.

They join the second season’s main voice cast, which includes:

- • Yuma Uchida as Ja Wangnan
- • Sayumi Watabe as Yeon Yihwa
- • Saori Hayami as Rachel
- • Nobuhiko Okamoto as Khun Aguero Agnes
- • Yu Shimamura as Yeo Goseng
- • Saki Miyashita as Yeo Miseng
- • Kenichiro Matsuda as Kang Horyang
- • Kento Shiraishi as Hon Akraptor
- • Kengo Kawanishi as Prinz
- • Natsuko Abe as Nia
- • Naoki Irie as Rai
The “Workshop Battle” arc will also feature new opening and ending theme songs performed by South Korean boy band Stray Kids.

Kazuyoshi Takeuchi (Gekijouban City Hunter: Angel Dust) is the chief director for the second season, with Akira Suzuki as series director, Erika Yoshida (Bocchi the Rock!) as screenwriter and co-scriptwriter with Takeshi Miyamoto (The 8th Son? Are You Kidding Me?) and Riuji Yoshizaki. The Answer Studio is handling the animation production for the second season, taking over from Telecom Animation Film that worked on the first season.
Miho Tanino (Blue Thermal, Tower of God season one), Seigo Kitazawa (Gekijouban City Hunter: Angel Dust), and Isamitsu Kashima are the co-character designers, with Kitazawa also credited as chief animation director, Yusuke Ikeda (D4DJ All Mix) as art director, and Kevin Penkin (The Apothecary Diaries) as music composer.
Yoshida, Tanino, and Penkin returned from the first season of Tower of God to work on the second season.
The anime is based on the Tower of God webtoon manhwa series by SIU, which was released on June 30, 2010 on the WEBTOON platform and is currently on “Season 3.” Sixteen volumes of the manwha have been released in Korea as of July 2024. The series is available in the U.S. via WEBTOON as of July 2014. In addition to the digital version, Wattpad publishes the series as a graphic novel under its WEBTOON Unscrolled imprint.

Crunchyroll is streaming the Tower of God anime worldwide, outside of Japan. It describes the main synopsis of season two as:
Ja Wangnan can’t seem to pass the 20th floor. Even after failing time and time again, he refuses to give up. On his journey, he meets a mysterious and powerful character named Viole. Wangnan invites Viole to join his team of Regulars. Their journey continues with new challenges at every turn.
