Shaft and Yasuomi Umetsu Team Up for New Anime Virgin Punk

A Shaft-produced original action anime titled Virgin Punk has been announced. The show’s director and character designer is Yasuomi Umetsu, the director of anime like Kite, Mezzo Forte, and Wizard Barristers. 

Chapter 1 of the new “series,” Clockwork Girl, will debut in early summer 2025 at Cinelibre Ikebukuro and Theater Umeda. Shaft and Umetsu are co-credited as the creators.
