A new main key visual, PV trailer, and opening theme have been unveiled for the upcoming Kagaku × Boken Survival! TV anime series. The anime will begin airing in Japan on October 5, 2024 for 21 total episodes.

The new trailer previews the opening theme “Nebaneba” by Win Morisaki.
The trailer also previews the main voice cast that includes:
- • Satsumi Matsuda as Jio
- • Megumi Han as Pipi
- • Akira Ishida as Kei
- • Hiroshi Iwasaki as Professor Nou
- • Mikako Komatsu as Daiya
- • Yumi Uchiyama as Marley
- • Rie Kugimiya as Kyuri
- • Yoko Hikasa as Professor Kuo


Masahiro Hosoda (Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods) is directing the anime, with Isao Murayama (Toriko, Bakugan) as series screenwriter, Gil-bo Noh (Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal) as character designer, and Kei Yoshikawa (Love of Kill) as music composer. Gallop is handling the animation production for the series.
An anime film adaptation of the series’ Jintai no Survival volumes was released in 2020. Another anime film, Shinkai no Survival followed in 2021. Both were produced by Toei Animation with Gallop.
The anime is based on the long-running full-color Korean manhwa series, released in Japan as Kagaku Manga Survival. The manhwa has been published since 2008 by I‐seum and is created by Hyun Dong Han and Jung Wook Kim. MiraeN releases the series as a webtoon, while Asahi Shimbun Publications releases the series in Japan. No Starch Press releases some volumes of the manhwa in English.

Kagaku × Boken Survival! will follow a group of children in various survival situations while learning about real-life scientific connections. Some of the topics that will be explored in the series include weather, insects, viruses, AI, Antarticia, dinosaurs, and the energy crisis.
