A new PV trailer has been released for the upcoming Mecha-Ude: Mechanical Arms TV anime series, highlighting the everyday life and interactions of protagonist Hikaru Amatsuga. The series is set to premiere on October 3, 2024.
Sae Okamoto is credited as the original creator for the anime, with Yasuhiro Nakanishi (Kaguya-sama: Love Is War) and TriF as series screenwriters, Terumi Nishii (Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable, Rurouni Kenshin) and Yoko Uchida (Rurouni Kenshin 2023 co-character designer) as character designers, Nurikabe as Mecha-Ude design and concept artist, Shota Kawamura (“Kamiari Algorithm” music video) as 3DCg director, and CyberConnect2’s Hiroshi Matsuyama as general supervisor. TriF Studio is handling the animation production.
Hiroyuki Sawano (Fate/strange Fake Whispers of Dawn), KOHTA YAMAMOTO (Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts), and AWSM.’s DAIKI are the music composers for the anime.
Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast includes:

A manga drawn by Aria the Scarlet Ammo‘s Yoshino Koyoka began serialization on September 15, 2022 on the LINE Manga website and ebookjapan. Azuki licensed the manga adaptation in English for its service, releasing the series digitally.

A pilot episode of the series was originally released in 2019 after a successful Kickstarter campaign.
Crunchyroll will stream the series and describes the main synopsis as:
Hikaru’s ordinary middle school life takes a thrilling turn when he encounters Alma, an alien entity resembling a mechanized limb called Mecha-Ude. Alma, a member of a rare species, is fleeing from a sinister group hunting their kind down in search of one possessing unparalleled power. Tasked by the resistance group ARMS, this unlikely duo will embark on a perilous journey to save the Mecha-Ude.
