A new character PV trailer has been released for the upcoming Promise of Wizard TV anime series, highlighting the key wizards of Central Country. The anime will premiere in Japan in January 2025. 

The trailer spotlights the four wizards situated in Central Country, consisting of Arthur, Oz, Cain, and Riquet. 

Naoyuki Tatsuwa (Nisekoi, Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World) is directing the anime series, with Nanami Higuchi (Beastars scriptwriter) as series screenwriter and scriptwriter, and Nozomi Nagatomo (A3! Season Autumn & Winter) as character designer. LIDENFILMS is handling the animation production. 

Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast includes actors that are reprising their roles from the original game, which stars:

  • • Shinnosuke Tachibana as Shylock
  • • Kohei Amasaki as Chloe
  • • Katsuyuki Miura as Rustica
  • • Shunichi Toki as Rutile
  • • Toshiyuki Morikawa as Figaro
  • • Yuichi Hose as Lennox 
  • • Ayumu Murase as Mitile

Promise of Wizard is based on a simulation mobile game developed by coly that was released in Japan in 2019. The game has inspired two manga adaptations from Ichijinsha that were released in 2020 and 2024, respectively. The first manga series released three total tankobon volumes. It also inspired several stage plays and radio web drama series.

QooApp describes the source material as a “mobile otome game where players have to train different wizards to defend the world” from chaos caused by the moon.
