Gridman Universe Comes to Crunchyroll on October 24, SSSS.Dynazenon Debuts December 12 featured image

Crunchyroll has announced that it will release the Gridman Universe anime film on its service on October 24, 2024, as well as the SSSS.Dynazenon Grand Episode compilation film on December 12, 2024. 

Gridman Universe will be available to stream with multiple subtitles in the following countries: North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS, and India. 

Meanwhile, SSSS.Dynazenon Grand Episode will stream with multiple subtitles in the following countries: North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS, India, Pakistan, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and the Maldives.

Gridman Universe premiered in Japan on March 24, 2023 and was released on Blu-ray on October 25, 2023. The returning staff for the film from SSSS.Gridman and SSSS.Dynazenon include Akira Amemiya as director, Keiichi Hasegawa as scriptwriter, Masaru Sakamoto as character designer, Mayumi Nakamura as sub-character designer, and Shirou Sagisu as music composer. TRIGGER handled the animation production, with Graphinica handling the 3DCG.

Meanwhile, the returning voice cast of the film from both series stars:

SSSS.Gridman and SSSS.Dynazenon aired during the Fall 2018 and Spring 2021 anime seasons, respectively. Both had 12 episodes and are inspired by Tsuburaya Productions’s 1993 Gridman: The Hyper Agent tokusatsu series. 

Crunchyroll describes the main synopsis of SSSS.Gridman as: 

Yuta Hibiki can’t remember who he is, and now he’s seeing and hearing things that others don’t! A voice from an old computer tells him to remember his calling, and he sees a massive, unmoving creature in the distance. Nothing’s making sense—until the behemoth springs to life! Suddenly, Yuta is pulled into the digital world, reappearing in the real one as the colossal hero — Gridman!
