A new character PV trailer has been revealed for the upcoming I May Be a Guild Receptionist, but I’ll Solo Any Boss to Clock Out on Time TV anime adaptation, spotlighting Alina’s new guild colleague, Laila. The series is scheduled to premiere in January 2025.
Tsuyoshi Nagasawa (Clockwork Planet) is directing the anime series, with Misuzu Chiba (Aikatsu Planet!) as series screenwriter, and Yoshihiro Nagata (Shine Post) and Shinichi Machida (Kimi wo Aishita Hitori no Boku e) as character designers. CloverWorks is handling the animation production, with Sakura Create credited with production cooperation.
Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast includes:

- • Kentaro Kumagai as Jade Scrade
- • Aoi Koga as Lululee Ashford
- • Rikuya Yasuda as Lowe Losblender
- • Yu Serizawa as Laila
The anime adaptation is based on the adventure fantasy light novel series, written by Mato Kousaka and illustrated by Gao, which was awarded the gold prize at the 27th Dengeki Shousetsu Taishou. ASCII Media Works first published the light novels under the Dengeki Bunko imprint on March 10, 2021 and has released eight volumes as of August 2024.
The series also inspired a manga adaptation illustrated by Suzu Yuki, which was first released on June 18, 2021.
Crunchyroll will stream the anime in several countries and territories outside of Japan, such as North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East and CIS.
Yen Press releases the I May Be a Guild Receptionist, But I’ll Solo Any Boss to Clock Out on Time light novels and manga series in English, describing the synopsis as:
Alina Clover signed up to be a receptionist for the Adventurers Guild thinking it would be her ticket to the good life. Unfortunately, her dream gig turns into an overtime nightmare whenever the adventurers get stuck clearing a dungeon. To save herself from a mountain of paperwork, Alina takes to beating down monsters herself to solve the problem! Now she just needs to keep her activities a secret…
