Earlier this month, MM2 Entertainment revealed that it was bringing Studio Ghibli‘s classic films to Singaporean theaters. More recent updates have announced that My Neighbour Totoro will be the first of these Ghibli titles and that it will begin its screening on November 7 GMT+8, with five more movies to follow after.
The other five are Castle In The Sky (November 21 GMT+8), Pom Poko (December 5 GMT+8), Ponyo On The Cliff By The Sea (December 19 GMT+8), Nausicaa Of The Valley Of The Wind (January 2 GMT+8), and Howl’s Moving Castle (January 9 GMT+8). The six films will be screened at Cathay Cineplexes.
MM2 Entertainment’s post uses the phrase “Our first 6 films from Studio Ghibli,” so screenings of other Ghibli films might be in store in 2025.
The company also announced that Spirited Away will be screened in neighboring Malaysia with a December 5 GMT+8 release date, with more announcements to come.
