The Attack on Titan anime’s X (formerly Twitter) account has revealed that a post-credits scene will be in the upcoming Attack on Titan: The Last Attack compilation film, which begins its three-week run in Japan on November 8 JST.

The movie’s website says that the post-credits scene features new footage. It did not reveal much beyond that, instead choosing to provide the definition of a post-credits scene and ask fans to come to theaters to discover the contents.

Attack on Titan The Movie: The Last Attack combines the two Attack on Titan Final Season The Final Chapters specials that provided the joint conclusion to the long-running Attack on Titan anime. It will come with 5.1ch audio and some fine-tuning for the cuts.

Attack on Titan, which adapts the manga by Hajime Isayama, began airing in 2013 with WIT STUDIO as the animation production studio. MAPPA took over for Attack on Titan Final Season, the fourth season of the series, which began airing in late 2020. The first part of Attack on Titan Final Season ended in early 2021, with the second part beginning its broadcast in early 2022. Attack on Titan Final Season The Final Chapters Part 1 arrived in March 2023, with Attack on Titan Final Season The Final Chapters Part 2 finally concluding the saga months later in November 2023.

The manga ran in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shounen Magazine from 2009 to 2021 and ended with a total of 34 tankoubon volumes. Kodansha USA describes the first volume as:

In this post-apocalyptic sci-fi story, humanity has been devastated by the bizarre, giant humanoids known as the Titans. Little is known about where they came from or why they are bent on consuming mankind. Seemingly unintelligent, they have roamed the world for years, killing everyone they see. For the past century, what’s left of man has hidden in a giant, three-walled city. People believe their 100-meter high walls will protect them from the Titans, but the sudden appearance of an immense Titan is about to change everything. Winner of the 2011 Kodansha Manga Award (Shonen) and nominated for the prestigious Osamu Tezuka Cultural Prize for 2012.
