Haigakura Releases New Key Visual & English-Subbed PV Trailer featured image

A new key visual and English-subbed PV trailer have been released for the ongoing Haigakura TV anime series. The anime first premiered in Japan on October 7, 2024 and is expected to run for 13 episodes.

The trailer previews many climactic moments and main characters featured in the anime’s halfway point. 

Junichi Yamamoto (The Reason Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion) is directing the anime, with Yu Murai (The Reason Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion co-scriptwriter) as series screenwriter, Masaki Sato (Record of Ragnarok) as character designer, and Yuki Kurihara (Blue Orchestra co-composer) as music composer. Typhoon Graphics is handling the animation production. 

Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast stars: 

  • • Takeo Otsuka as Ichiyo
  • • Kaito Ishikawa as Tenko
  • • Lynn as Hakushurin
  • • Hiro Shimono as Ransaiwa
  • • Satoshi Hino as Sonto

The anime is based on the fantasy manga series by Shinobu Takayama, which ran in Ichijinsha’s Comic Zero Sum WARD magazine from January 16, 2008 to May 16, 2015. The manga then moved to Zero-Sum Online on September 18, 2015, where it has been serialized since. Sixteen tankobon volumes have been released as of August 2023.

Amazon Prime Video is streaming Haigakura worldwide, along with It’s Anime, who streams the anime on its YouTube channel. The latter describes the main synopsis as: 

On a journey to find ourselves. With captured family and a missing past, Ichiyo, a kashi, battles alongside Tenko to regain what’s lost. The Immortal realm. Immortals and humans dwell in a world on the verge of collapse. Ichiyo and Tenko search for the key to salvation, the ‘Four Perils’ who hold this land together.
