Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister is partnering with another anime series for a new collaboration visual, which features the girls of Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night in matching shrine maiden attire.
The ongoing Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister anime series debuted in Japan on October 2, 2024 and is streaming on Crunchyroll and bilibili. A total of 24 episodes are expected to air, with Drive handling the animation production.

The anime is based on the manga series by Marcey Naito, which began as a one-shot in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine on December 2, 2020. It was then serialized as a full series on April 21, 2021, and has released 17 tankobon volumes as of October 2024.
Kodansha USA is releasing the manga series in English, describing the main synopsis as:
Uryu Kamihate has had a rough start to life, but plans to forget it all by achieving his dream-matriculating into medical school. But when he arrives at his new foster home, a working shrine, his dream of a quiet place to study goes up in smoke. Not only will he be living with the three beautiful, lively Amagami sisters-but he learns that he must marry one of them and take over the shrine!
Meanwhile, Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night first premiered in Japan on April 7, 2024 and aired for 12 episodes. Doga Kobo was in charge of the animation production.
A manga adaptation of the series by Niko Fujii was launched in Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket app and website on April 7, 2024. A light novel adaptation by Yaku and popman3580 was released on May 20, 2024 and concluded on July 18, 2024.

HIDIVE and Muse Asia are streaming Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night outside of Japan, with the former describing the synopsis as:
Shibuya is a city full of identity. It is here on Shibuya’s late night streets that illustrator Mahiru Kozuki, former idol Kano Yamanouchi, Vtuber Kiui Watase and composer Mei Kim Anouk Takanashi — four young women who are slightly outside the world — join together and form an anonymous artist group called JELEE. “I” also want to shine like someone else. If it’s not me but “we” then we might be able to shine.
