The first new character visual has been unveiled for the upcoming The Shiunji Family Children TV anime series, highlighting the eldest sibling Banri Shiunji. The anime will premiere in Japan sometime in 2025.

Ryoki Kamitsubo (Hidamari Sketch chief director, Softenni director, Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence Episode 3 and 7 storyboard artist and director) is directing the anime, with Noboru Kimura (Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture) as series screenwriter and Miki Muto (OSHI NO KO Season 2 co- animation training director) as character designer and chief animation director. Akki, Ginnojo Hoshi, and Shota Horie are serving as the series’ music composers. Doga Kobo is handling the animation production.
Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast will star:

- • Rie Takahashi as Oka Shiunji
- • Hana Hishikawa as Minami Shiunji

The anime is based on the romantic comedy manga by Rent-A-Girlfriend‘s Reiji Miyajima, with Reiji Yukino as co-artist. The series began serialization in Hakusensha’s Young Animal on February 25, 2022 and has released five tankobon volumes as of October 2024.

Yen Press releases The Shiunji Family Children manga in English and describes the series as:
