A TV anime adaptation of Natsumi Eguchi‘s Dekin no Mogura manga is set to begin airing in July 2025. A teaser trailer and teaser visual have been released.
Yuichi Nakamura is voicing the titular Mogura. Hiroshi Ishiodori (An Archdemon’s Dilemma: How to Love Your Elf Bride) is directing the series at Brain’s Base with Shinzo Fujita (To Your Eternity) as series composer and Yoko Tanabe (How I Attended an All-Guy’s Mixer) as character designer.
Dekin no Mogura has been serialized in Kodansha’s Morning since 2021 and will release its eighth tankoubon on November 21, 2024 JST. The premise sees university students Magi and Yaeko stumbling across a man who gets injured from a falling dictionary. The man, who refuses an ambulance or police involvement even as blood pours forth from him, strikes the two as an odd figure, and adding to the strangeness, Magi and Yaeko become able to see weird things after this encounter.
Update: Corrected Eguchi’s family name.
