Yamato yo Towa ni – REBEL 3199’s 3rd Chapter Premieres in April 2025, Releases Teaser Trailer and Visual

The third part of the Yamato yo Towa ni – REBEL 3199 anime, subtitled Daisanshou: Gunjou no Asteroid, will begin screening in Japanese theaters on April 11, 2025 JST.

A teaser trailer and teaser visual, the latter illustrated by Silent Moebius‘ Kia Asamiya, have been released.

Yamato yo Towa ni – REBEL 3199 is the latest installment in the Space Battleship Yamato remake series. It is a 26-episode series that is being screened theatrically in seven parts. Chapters 1 was released in July, while Chapter 2 begin screening on November 22 JST.

The original Space Battleship Yamato TV series aired from 1974 to 1975 and inspired sequel series and movies, including 1980’s Yamato yo Towa ni movie. The remakes began in 2012 with Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2199.

Crunchyroll describes the remake as:

The power-hungry Gamilas have taken over Earth, and only a distant planet has the key to save humans from extinction. Granted the schematics of a high-powered engine, the Space Battleship Yamato is built to traverse the galaxy and retrieve hope for their survival. Battling extraterrestrial forces along the way, the crew of the Yamato will stop at nothing to save their home.
