A new collaboration visual featuring Fairy Tail’s Natsu Dragneel and Farmagia’s Ten has been revealed, in commemoration of Hiro Mashima, who is involved with both works. Both series have inspired anime adaptations.
The anime adaptation of the Farmagia action farming RPG is scheduled to broadcast in Japan on January 10, 2024. Bridge is the animation production company for the series.
The original game was released worldwide on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Steam on November 1, 2024. Mashima handled the game’s original character designs.
Meanwhile, the currently airing Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest first premiered in Japan on July 7, 2024, with J.C Staff handling the series’ animation production. The anime is an adaptation of the Fairy Tail manga’s sequel, which has story and layouts by Mashima and art by Atsuo Ueda.
The sequel manga began serialization on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket app on July 25, 2018 and has released 18 tankobon volumes as of August 2024. A 19th volume is set for release on December 9, 2024. Kodansha USA releases the manga in English.
The original Fairy Tail manga was serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine from August 2, 2006 to July 26, 2017 and inspired a three season anime with over 300 episodes, as well as two anime films. A-1 Pictures co-produced the show with Satelight for season one and Bridge for seasons two and three, with Cloverworks providing assistance in the third season as well.
Crunchyroll is streaming Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest worldwide, outside of Japan, and describes the main synopsis as:
Fairy Tail is a gathering of rowdy wizards renowned as the strongest guild in the Kingdom of Fiore. Its strongest party — comprised of Natsu, Lucy, Happy, Grey, Erza, Wendy, and Carla — is preparing to undertake the legendary “100 Years Quest,” a mission of even higher difficulty than S-Class quests.
